Sustainable Corporate Governance
As the Chair of PwC New Zealand, I see my position as an opportunity to approach corporate governance with a long-term vision of sustainability. My goal is not just to continue to promote sustainable corporate governance in terms of financial management, but to deliver a positive impact on society and the natural environment. I believe this starts at the very top – in the board room – and should run through the supply chain to ensure the company meets all its commitments.
Specialist Industry Leadership
My clients span all sectors and industries however, my specialist areas include financial services and the public sector. I have extensive experience advising organisations on complex financial reporting matters – in particular, those relating to financial statements and prospectuses of issuer clients in securities markets. I am the Chair of the External Reporting Board, a Crown Entity responsible for establishing the financial reporting strategy in New Zealand and building trust and confidence in NZ capital markets.
Diverse and Inclusive Leadership
I am committed to growing diverse and inclusive leadership for the benefit of New Zealand and was recognised for my contribution by INFINZ when awarded the Hunter Campbell Diversity and Inclusion Award in May 2019. I am the Co-Chair of Champions for Change, a group of over 50 of New Zealand's leading CEOs and Board Chairs committed to diversity and inclusion. As a former board member and Deputy Chair of Global Women and the inaugural Chair of the Global Women, Women in Leadership Programme, I am committed to the development of, and enabling opportunities for women leaders.
